So close to Adelaide, yet these caves contain some exciting and challenging vertical dry caving kindly shown to me by Grant Gartrell from CEGSA. The main cave is over 50m deep and involves some tight squeezes, a ladder climb and some good old fashioned grovelling to get to the base. Grant has been fossicking around for some years and believes there is potential to break into major passage deeper down. Beautiful shawls, luminescent stalactites and helictites are plentiful. A really pretty cave.
There are several caves in the area with one of them (A5) even deeper than this, involving 4 ladder pitches.
